Well, another war is ended
Its many battles have been rough
I’m so glad this war has passed
Because think I’ve had enough
Oh, I have been blest with victories
I have conquered many foes
The joy of being called a winner
Has time to time been mine to know
Defeat has al ao been my mate
On many a lonely night
In tears I realized I had lost
And I had no more time to fight
Though I did not win each battle
That I fought from day to Iday
Still, Dear Lord, you know the truth is
I fought to win it all the way
Yes, another war has ended
The many battles have been rough
I’m so glad the war is over
Cause I think ve had enough
Tomorrow starts a new war
Which I must fight on my own
I must fight with all my power
Or I’ll face defeat alone
Though I might not win each battle
That I fight from day to day
Still I feel I’ll be contented
If I can look to thee and say
Dear Lord, you know the truth is
I fought to win it all the way.
